- 2 pounds beef round roast
- 1 small onion, sliced (omit if can't tolerate)
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Season the beef with salt.
- In a pan, brown the beef on both sides.
- Add beef broth and red wine to the slow cooker. Add the beef and sprinkle the spices on top. Top with onion slices.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Shred meat and serve with liquid in the slow cooker.
