Tahini is made from ground sesame seeds and has a creamy texture. It originated in Persia where it was called ardeh . When purchasing tahini, look for a product whose only ingredient is sesame seeds. It should naturally separate; just store it upside down to easily stir the oil into the paste well before using. This tahini-based salad dressing adds a creamy, nutty, and garlicky flavor to crunchy broccoli and carrot strips.
2 cups broccoli slaw, cut into matchsticks
2 cups carrot slaw, cut into matchsticks
2 tablespoons Tahini-Garlic Dressing
In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli slaw, carrot slaw, and dressing and divide into two serving bowls.
MAKE IT EASIER TIP: Buy pre-chopped broccoli slaw, cabbage slaw, Brussels sprouts slaw, or carrot slaw and mix with a previously made batch of Tahini-Garlic Dressing to make the salad without much prep. Just assemble and eat!
