I drink a green smoothie almost every day. It usually includes dandelion greens, but I also switch it up for more nutrient variety with kale, spinach, or collards. As the most nutritious of all foods, dark leafy greens protect against heart disease, cancer, and stroke—our top killers—and premature aging of the brain, eyes, bones, and skin.
12 leaves dandelion greens
1 banana, or 1 avocado, pitted
1 cup fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, or raspberries)
1-inch piece ginger, peeled
3 tablespoons ground hemp seeds
Place all ingredients and 3 cups water in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
