This smoothie is as delicious as it is nutritious. The berries are rich in ageless antioxidants that help improve brain function as we get older and the beets are high in iron, vitamin C, and potassium, among other essential nutrients. ½ medium beet, peeled and roughly chopped

½ cup frozen strawberries

½ cup frozen raspberries

1 medium orange, peeled and seeded

1 Medjool date, pitted

½ cup unsweetened almond milk

¼ teaspoon peeled and grated ginger

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
