Introduction
FALLING
I used to do lots of crazy things for love.
One of the best dates I ever had was at T.G.I. Friday’s.
One time I was supposed to be taking my little sister to a dance.
When I was a senior in high school, I had a car.
My first prom was my boyfriend’s junior prom.
Once my friend and I were on the way to my boyfriend’s college.
The best advice I’ve received about love is that you’ve got to love yourself before others can love you.
I would have gone to four proms in four years while I was in high school, but on the day of my boyfriend’s senior prom (I was a sophomore) along came the drama.
At my junior prom, my friend had a boyfriend whose uncle owned a limo service.
JEALOUSY
Jealousy has definitely affected my previous relationships—in both good and bad ways.
I remember being jealous myself, even if sometimes my boyfriend did call me to tell me he’s going out with his friends—you know, to a party or just to hang out.
Another part of jealousy that’s not healthy is when a guy will get upset with his wife or girlfriend because she’s wearing a short skirt, or she’s wearing a top with her stomach out.
I remember I was at a party—someone’s sweet sixteen—and I was dancing with a guy.
Jealousy not only interferes with loving relationships (between a boyfriend and a girlfriend), but with relationships between best friends, regular friends, and even enemies!
One time a friend of mine was dating this guy.
Overall, jealousy has affected my relationships negatively.
BREAKING UP
Everyone’s different, but breaking up is always hard.
If a guy is cheating on you, and sometimes your heart aches, but the majority of the time you’re happy and you can’t find that happiness anywhere else, then there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
A breakup can be something very, very vigorous that goes up and down and up and down.
In relationships, you have to love yourself first or else your misery is going to bring misery to the other person.
Sometimes a breakup can be something very dangerous.
There are so many bad things that guys do.
I’ve seen guys do terrible things to friends of mine.
I’m a really strong person.
HOPE
My perfect date would be on a tropical island!
My hopes and dreams for the future regarding love is to have someone who truly loves me.
