Suddenly, a creature raced around the corner. It was large with orange blotches, scars and spiky whiskers. There was a wild look in its eyes.
‘Screee — ach!’ Its back arched and its whiskers stuck up.

They didn’t know a pair of wild, green eyes was watching from the long grass.
‘Ah!’ The Feral’s eyes were not friendly as they followed Duck’s every move. ’My dinner, perhaps?‘ muttered the Feral.
They didn’t notice the Feral getting closer.
It moved silently.
Two minutes later, a chicken was missing from the hen house.
Duck had been lucky that day.

All the animals had forgotten about the Feral. It hadn’t forgotten them. It watched as Parrot pulled the board into the yard.
Just then, the Feral let out a cry.

‘Yyoowwiiiahhhh.’
‘Yowwwiiiahhhh,’ it spat.
‘Yowwwiiiahhhh,’ the Feral spat again.
