Wild Edible Vegetables of Lesser Himalayas

The Himalayas in Pakistan is a part of the world largest mountains systems with unique medicinal plant biodiversity due to marvelous variations in the elevation and atmosphere. Even though plants are used for the treatment of diseases, scientific confirmation in terms of modern medicine is deficient in many cases. Different societies of the globe use the plants according to their own beliefs and knowledge and previous experiences. Their knowledge about the use of the plants is usually not known to the other world or science. It needs to explore the hidden areas and with their plants and knowledge about these plants. This book will provide brief introduction of Himalayas in Pakistan, ethnobotanical and medicinal aspects, and chemical constituents of medicinal flora (Trees and Shrubs) along with their scientific description.
