Sometimes people are skeptic so they look to science to know the effectiveness of a procedural method or strategy. Is it proven by science? Is it backed by science?
The gap between scientific findings and mere anecdotal evidence doesn’t have to discourage you from trying a method that seems controversial. As much as possible, most, or almost all of the strategies included here were carefully selected. These were strategies where effectiveness has been proven and explained by scientific findings and theories.
There are other techniques out there which are, by anecdotal evidence, proven to be effective. These could either be an application, or software, or a teaching program. The fact that they haven’t yet been tested, not subjected to clinical trial or research, nor was there any study published in some scientific journals doesn’t have to discourage you from trying them. These strategies, after all, are procedural, and not products that you ingest that may substantially alter your physiology in an irreversible way. There’s no harm in trying.
The methods and strategies discussed in this book are developed by people who, themselves, have tried to overcome their own difficulties. Always remember that each brain or psychological characteristics differ from one person to another.
You can use any of these methods, but you don’t have to be a stickler. You can follow them to a T or you can tailor them to your needs, according to what you think is best. Maybe, in the process of finding the solution to your own difficulties, you will learn something worth sharing, too.
