Walled GARDEN

The Front Post treble stitch creates a wonderful texture, and a classic rectangular wrap is the perfect blank canvas for this tactile stitch design. Work with a variegated or hand-painted yarn for a really striking finish.

Tips

The texture of this stitch pattern is created by sometimes working around the front posts of stitches in the previous row, rather than working into the top of the stitch.

Y

For a really neat finish, be sure to weave in all the yarn ends on the wrong side of the stitch pattern so they are less visible on the finished wrap.

Round 2: 2ch, 1htr in each st around working 2htr in each corner, join with sl st in 2nd ch of 2ch.

Round 3: 1ch, *1dc, picot, 1dc in next st; rep from * to end, join with sl st in first st. Fasten off.

MAKING UP AND FINISHING

Weave in all loose ends and block to measurements, taking care to draw out the picots.
