Jina Bacarr has written business books and magazine and newspaper articles about Japan. She was the Japanese consultant on KCBS-TV, MSNBC, Tech TV’s Wired for Sex, and British Sky Broadcasting Ltd.’s Saucy TV, and has appeared in Japanese commercials, worked as a companion girl for a Japanese company, and studied the art of kimono with a teacher whose family has been in the kimono business for 400 years. She was the Lifestyles Editor on “The Tony Trupiano Show” on Talk America Radio Network, a late-night radio jock, and produced and hosted her own weekly radio show “On the Wild Side,” the spicier side of books, on Book Crazy Radio. A graduate of UC Irvine, Jina speaks French, German, Italian, Spanish, and conversational Japanese. She has had three plays produced and has written more than forty scripts for daytime television (including thirty animation scripts). She has also taught a college course about women in Japan.
